The dee straight curb and gutter forming system consists of a back form, a front form, a face form, a division plate, and two top spreader clamps. The back and front forms are standard straight flatwork forms with the back form taller than the front form. The dee straight curb and gutter forms are normally assembled into a curb and gutter forming system. The profile is the important part : B profile or J profile. We stock 18" 24" 30" Skeletons or Dividers.
The 24" B profile is the most popular profile that we sell. Please review the ones below for your needs. The 6 inch clamp or top spreader bar is the standard but we can order you a custom spreader bar and or division plate if you have a detailed drawing for Dee to follow. Our division plates come with a nail hole in the top tab of the division plate. This is help full if you are using a wood back form. 36" nail stakes are generally used for the back form and 24" nail stakes are used in the front form. We stock 3/4" & 7/8" nail stakes along with 4" x1 0' side walk forms.
The dee side walk forms will save you money on material cost and save time on setting up of your sidewalk job.
The B Profile is the most popular profile in the Atlanta area. It has a square type
layout and the J has a radius to it's profile. The profile is where the water would collect and run out. We also sell the roll over division plates that you see in a subdivision. We can make custom division plates for your job requierments. We will need a engineered drawing to complete this task.
There are 5 basic types of radius curbs:
1. Vertical face - a setup with the front and the back of the curb at 90° angles
2. Battered face - a curb face with the back of the curb at a 90° angle and the front at less than a 90° angle
3. Bottom radius - a battered curb face with a single radius formed into the bottom of the curb
4. Top and bottom radius - a battered curb face with a radius formed into the top and bottom of the curb
5. Drive over - a curb face with a slow, gradual batter allowing traffic to pass over
The drive over profile only requires a front form and a back form spaced by division plates that are used as templates for striking off the drive over profile.
